New CNC Operator job - Gloucester
ROLE SUMMARY
Due to company growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team. We are seeking a CNC Operator in Gloucester with experience in using a variety of CNC machines and routers - preferably with knowledge of Haas/Fanuc controls.
You will be working as part of a wider team to undertake a variety of CNC duties and produce a wide range of precision components for many industries including automotive (F1), military & transport. The candidate will expect to be working within a fast-paced environment to satisfy customer expectations.
The main responsibilities for the CNC Operator role in Gloucester:
- Operate Haas/Fanuc-controlled CNC machines
- Working from Technical Drawings
- Installing the correct programmes into the machine
- Prepare and load materials and components
- Working to specific tolerances ensuring these are accurate for each operation
- Inspect and measure finished components, recording results using in-process inspection sheets
- Fulfil daily responsibilities using our ERP system. (IFS)
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- You must have experience of operating CNC machines
- Completed relevant apprenticeship in engineering or a minimum of Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in the relevant field is desirable?
- Experience producing precision components
- Confident, independent operation of Fanuc/Haas controlled machines
- Ability to complete ongoing quality documentation, maintaining communication with supervisors and quality operatives
- Understanding use of M and G codes
WORKING HOURS for the CNC Operator role in Gloucester
Nights only
- Mon-Thurs: 10pm – 6am & Fridays: 5pm – 10:30pm
Double Days (1-week rotations)
- Early’s - Mon-Thurs: 6am – 2pm & Fridays: 6am – 11:30m
- Lates - Mon-Thurs: 2pm – 10pm & Fridays: 11:30am – 5pm
